Katie Williams

Katie began her journey to interior design with a degree in Fine Art at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, which led her to the prestigious KLC School of Design, London, where she completed a Diploma in Interior Design.  From there she started her career in London working alongside industry luminaries such as David Oliver at Paint & Paper Library where she honed her colour ability; Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill – industry renowned for working on historic properties and the sourcing of antiques; Sue Timney from Timney Fowler and Nicholas Herbert of Lot’s Road.

Six years later she moved to Hampshire where she opened The Kave, a much-loved design shop in the pretty market town of Stockbridge. Katie is a true professional that brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Alexandra Young Team. Katie’s expertise shines in many areas but she is our absolute unrivalled authority on the use of colour and bespoke products, and has a meticulous eye for detail throughout all stages of a project. Katie has been a key member of our Alexandra Young Design team since 2020.
