The story behind our rebrand

Since its beginnings in 2017, Alexandra Young has grown from a one-woman operation - helping friends make key design choices in their homes - into a full-service interior design studio known for managing large-scale renovation projects with a talented and dedicated team.

By 2024, it became clear that the brand needed to evolve, just as the business had, to reflect this exciting transformation and new chapter. With the help of Hannah Morris Consults, a brand consultancy and design team, we set off on a journey to create a new brand identity that really felt like us.

We wanted something that reflected how the business has evolved - more professional and polished - while still staying true to where it all began.

At first, we toyed with the idea of just simplifying our original logo. But as we explored further, it became clear that a richer, more curated brand palette - one inspired by nature and our recent projects - was the right direction.

That’s when things started to get exciting. We pulled in natural elements, and the designers began incorporating pressed flowers, which sparked a much more personal connection. It reminded me of my mother’s Norwegian heritage, particularly my signet ring with an emblem of three Norwegian flowers that has always been special to me.

From there, the design grew naturally: three floral stalks framed in a rounded square, with my initials linking either side - a perfect blend of heritage and the present.

The new logo and colour palette feel like a true reflection of who we are today - rooted in our history but with our sights set firmly on the future.

It’s a reminder of our journey and a guide for where we’re heading next.

We love the new look and feel, and it’s been taken across all of our marketing channels including our website, social media, our new newsletter and stationery. Not forgetting our beautiful hand-made Harris & Jones lined box files for storing samples which clients receive at the start of their new project.

We’d love to know what you think. Do let us know!
